SM City Rosales’ Independence Day 2019 Centerpiece is a colorful paper quill mosaic that pays tribute to the Philippine flag and to Pangasinan’s famous tourist destinations such as The Manaoag Church, Alaminos Hundred Islands, Bolinao Lighthouse, St. Vincent Ferrer Statue – the world’s tallest bamboo statue located in Bayambang, and the Mt. Balungao.

Since the mall aimed to have the community involved in the creation of the mosaic, paper quilling is an art form that is great for all ages.

To achieve this art piece, it took more than two weeks. Thousands of paper quills were produced by sixteen persons including students from Feliz Academy, Inc.

The flag is the country's emblem of sovereignty - dating back to the unfurling and declaration of Philippine Independence 121 years ago. The colors of the Philippine flag were the dominant colors used to portray Pangasinan's gems - its multitude of famous attractions.
