Kainan sa Balsa Bacoor, Cavite

Kainan sa Balsa is a floating seafood restaurant in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines.  The place is built mostly from bamboo wood platform elevated above a pond.

Here are some snaps from the place for a little bit of "tour" kind of feel:

Right in the middle where you'll find seats to choose from either the left or the side.

Still by the isle where one of their friendly crew usher us towards an empty table. 

Closing in to where we are supposed to sit, dine and relax. 

Very relaxing indeed to just look at the peaceful pond after dining. Food first, explore later! 

Well, it's no wonder why because on a weekday traffic, it will take over an hour or so to get there, you'd be starving by the time you arrive. But on a good driving day or night, it's just about 30 minutes away from the south of the metro (Metro Manila).

Menu

They serve mostly seafood dishes including tilapia, tanigue, tuna, shrimp and calamares. Pork barbecue is also available, along with dessert and other dishes. 

This is the Pinaputok na Tilapia before (above) and after (below) the banana leaf cover is peeled.  

Next comes Pork Barbecue and Sizzling Shrimp. 

Below is also shrimp, in chicaron style, for an appetizer.

And my usual coffee.

Price

Menu prices range between ₱150 to about ₱250. A budget of 1,000 pesos may be enough for 2-4 persons.
