The X Factor USA returns this 2013! Season 3 opens at Los Angeles
with returning judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato with the addition of Kelly
Rowland and Paulina Rubio. Mario Lopez remains host but Khloe Kardashian is out
along with former judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.

New Judges
As always, Simon adds spice to the show with his racy comments
while Demi will certainly continue to attract the younger generation of
viewers. Latina star Paulina Rubio and Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland on the
other hand will win the hearts of colored and Hispanic audience members.
Format
The episodes at jam packed audition venues had just started to air but I’m
sure that behind these pre-recorded shows, the program may have already
progressed as far as designating which judge will mentor a specific category,
i.e. over 25, groups, boys, and girls. The same format as the previous seasons will
be used which starts with nationwide auditions, followed by a boot camp where the
number of pre-qualified contestants (those who had at least 3 yes from the
judges) is further trimmed down, and then contestants are assigned to judges
based on category, and lastly the live shows.
2 New Dads
Incidentally, Mario Lopez’s son had just been born while Simon is
expecting a baby out of the baby-mama drama intrigue he had recently been
dragged into.

So
who will be season 3’s X Factor winner following Tate Stevens from season 2 and
Melanie Amaro from season 1? We can only look forward to it.
