Tonight’s results are in for The Voice of the Philippines Battle Round 3:

Team Bamboo (aka Kawayan)

Mark and Willy Cordovales vs. Paolo Onesa

Paolo wins

I believe the Cordovales sounded better but as always, marketability wise, Paolo may last longer and hence was chosen over the father and son duo.

Team Lea

Taw Muhammad vs . Kimpoy Mainit

Kimpoy wins

Hands down, Kimpoy should stay based on delivery alone on top of his higher ranging voice.

Team Apl

Cara Manglapuz vs. Moira Dela Torre vs. Penelope Matanguihan 

Penelope wins

Even coach Apl says it’s obvious that he will pick Penelope 

Team Sarah

Junji Arias vs. Dave Lamar

Junji wins

The obviously better singer was at least selected against a heart throb

Although I still think that there was bias during the pairing process, most of the singers, their families, and audience didn’t notice and so their fighting spirit is worth the applause despite a losing battle before it even began.  

Three more battle rounds to go and each team will then have 6 members for the live shows. For now, you may see each team with the complete 12 or 13 members through the official The Voice of the Philippines site.
