It was only in April this year that Honda Civic made its entry into the Philippines auto market. Before showing its face to the eagerly awaiting Filipinos, Civic’s first stop was the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show. At the said show, the car was a big hit and grabbed a lot of attention, with onlookers praising its new stylish features. What made the new Civic more special was the fact that it was 10th generation model of the car, representing Honda’s spirit to evolve and innovate with time. But before we start pouring in information about new Civic, here is some news that we think this car’s lovers would be thrilled to hear. Recently, Honda Philippines confirmed that Honda Civic RS turbo was bestowed with SpeedLad Tuner’s Choice and 2016 Car of the Year Philippines award. 1. Fresh Face
10th Generation Honda Civic is designed to look more classy, modern and highly elegant. This C-segment sedan is adorned with great designing features like radiator grille smartly merged into LED headlights, sculptured hood, sporty creases, perfectly moulded bumper and C-shaped LED taillights.
2. Fully Revised Cabin
Civic features a spacious cabin thanks to its wide wheelbase; also the entire cabin is so nicely done. The car looks all poised and plush, thanks to the usage of silver accents on dash and centre console, soft upholstery, piano black finish, upgraded plastic and intelligently designed dashboard. Making the car high-tech are features like wireless phone connectivity via Bluetooth, TFT full-color instrument panel, 7-inch touch screen display and much more.
3. Powerful Engine
The 2016 Civic has two mill options on offer; one is the 1.8-liter borrowed engine from the previous generation Civic while the other is a 1.5-liter reserved mill for the RS turbo trim. The naturally aspirated 1.8-liter mill pumps out 141 PS power and 174 Nm torque. However, these digits revise to 173 PS and 220 Nm in the case of the 1.5-liter turbo powered unit.

Like all the Honda cars, this one too gets a G-CON + ACE structure that ensures full safety of the occupants at the time of an unfortunate hit by absorbing shocks and impact energy generated. All new Honda Civic is a car to impress; it has been integrated with wow factors both on the inside and outside. The bookings of the said car opened in June 2016 and if our little auto birdies are to be believed, Civic has been pouring pretty good numbers to Honda’s sales sheet.
