Days after
the main event which happened last September 20, 2014 at the SM Mall of Asia
Arena, Bench’s “The Naked Truth” is still the sizzling talk of the town
showcasing the Philippines hottest celebrities and models donning the brand’s
newest designs and collections of denims and underwear.
Bench started with its humble beginning in 1987 as a small store selling men’s t-shirts which radically evolved through the years into one of the Philippines' largest
retail stores which covers ladies underwear, fragrances, accessories such as watches, bags, shoes, slippers and other lifestyle products.
The
enormous growth of Bench has been attributed to their use of celebrity endorsers, big
eye-catching billboards, and bolder concepts. And the most successful so far
that causes frenzy every time are their biennial denim and underwear fashion
shows. It started with Bench Fever (2006), followed by Bench Blackout (2008),
Bench Uncut (2010) ,Bench Universe (2012) and the most recent successful fashion
show “The Naked Truth” that rocked the Mall of Asia Arena and started a viral
trend over the Internet.

The controversial
fashion show according to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) “became the venue for the most daring acts of
popular celebrities”.
The Naked Truth was an explosive catwalk show participated by some already consistent casts of Bench’s previous fashion shows like Jake
Cuenca, Kim Chu, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, Coco Martin, Georgina Wilson, Paulo
Avelino, Solenn Heusaff among others, and some who are their latest additions like Marian
Rivera, who was crowned as Bench Queen, Ellen Adarna, Geena Rocero (the
Filipino Transgender) and America's Next Top Model's Allison Harvard (Season 12 and All Stars), flaunting their magnificent bodies to
the crowd’s delight.
Some of
the memorable highlights include Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo from the successful
“My Husband’s Lover” who single-handedly stole the spotlight as they met in the
middle of the stage with just their skimpy underwear drawn very closely that
caused uproar in the crowd. Enchong Dee and his pole acrobat, the legendary
butt exposure of Jake Cuenca just wearing a jockstrap claiming this show as his
last catwalk, the twice lip-lock of the hottest new parents Sarah Lahbati and
Richard Gutierrez, Coco Martin and his unexpected pet, John Spainhour removing
the lingerie-like dress of Ellen Adarna, the sweet hug shared by Daniel Padilla
and Kathryn Bernardo and other crowd-screamer episodes.
Bench, no
doubt, outdid its last fashion show, leaving an unforgettable milestone with such
highly-anticipating and consistently jaw-dropping fashion event of the year.
