You can also search for radio stations (particularly AM
frequencies), local newspapers, educational institutions (college, university,
high school, etc.), and local government units for updates. Just make sure that
you are following official pages and accounts for legitimate information. And
one way to tell other than the tag “official” is by virtue of following or
likes. Established brands have pages or accounts that are normally followed or
liked by many.
Let’s use social media effectively for information
(weather updates, dam water level status, etc.), awareness, disaster
preparedness, and more this rainy season.
